Maureen Riley

Maureen Riley, Associate Marriage and Family Therapist, 139685

I am a trauma-informed therapist with a deep commitment to supporting individuals on their path to healing and self-discovery. I hold a Master's degree from Antioch University in Los Angeles, and my work is grounded in the belief that each person has the inner ability to heal.

My specialties include trauma-related disorders, addiction recovery, and life and career transitions. I’m trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), and I incorporate a variety of therapeutic styles, including somatic practices, Internal Family Systems (IFS), DBT, and Humor and Creativity. My approach is eclectic, open-minded, and tailored to meet the unique needs of each client.

I’ve been lucky to experience working in a range of clinical settings, including a psychiatric unit, residential treatment centers, and supportive housing for individuals experiencing homelessness. I’ve worked with individuals, couples, and groups, and I’m deeply committed to creating a therapeutic space that is inclusive, nonjudgmental, and affirming—especially for BIPOC and LGBTQ+ folks. Before becoming a therapist, I lived abroad, taught English as a Second Language, and served as both a manager and director. My international background continues to inform my culturally sensitive and globally aware approach to therapy. I also speak Thai.

Whether you’re looking to heal from trauma, navigate addiction recovery, or simply reconnect with your inner truth, I’m here to support you.
