Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, 86226
As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, I have the incredible opportunity to offer counsel and support to individuals of all ages during stressful and difficult times or events in their lives. I continue to work with children, adolescents, adults, and elderly through various therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Solution Focused Therapy. I share effective coping strategies that clients can learn and put into practice in order to better deal with life stressers and other symptoms of mental health with which they may be struggling.
Education and Clinical Experience
I graduated from Chapman University with a Master’s Degree in Psychology. I have provided many in-school sessions of counseling for children and teenagers dealing with ADHD, autism, and anger management. I have also helped many youth with grief and loss counseling, social skill and developmental delays, as well as anxiety and depression. I have assisted parents with creating positive parenting plans, helping them to establish appropriate boundaries and improve their relationships with their children. I have also worked with couples and families, helping them to improve their relationships with each other through teaching effective communication skills. I have experience facilitating groups such as: drug and alcohol treatment, women’s empowerment, adolescent intensive outpatient program (IOP) group on drugs and alcohol, adult depression, and a Women’s Healthy Relationship group.
I currently work as a Geriatric Care Manager assisting the elderly with the many challenges they face with aging.
