Amisha Samuels

Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, 93737

My name is Amisha and I am a licensed marriage and family therapist. I am passionate about providing psychotherapy for those seeking to create a healthier, happier and more meaningful life. I received my Masters in Clinical psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from Pepperdine University in 2012. I have experience providing services to children, teens, adults, couples and families struggling with a variety of issues. My specialties include treatment for depression, anxiety, self-esteem, adjustment issues, and families with children who are diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorders or other developmental disabilities.

For individuals and couples; therapy offers a unique experience for self-development and increased understanding of reoccurring patterns in your life. Through awareness of how the past has affected your present; it makes it more possible to have a happy future. I utilize a solution focused and strength based approach to help the unit reach goals that have been created collaboratively. I incorporate cognitive behavioral techniques as it can be an effective tool to help anyone learn how to manage stressful life situations.

I listen actively and will offer feedback, suggestions and tools to help you cope and improve the quality of your life. Working together, we will find the best solutions by building on your strengths. I offer a safe environment to allow you to express yourself though neutrality and non-judgment.
