Allison Medina

Associate Professional Clinical Counselor, 20686

Hi, I’m Allison! I am a trauma-informed counselor passionate about helping adolescents, adults, couples, and families navigate life’s challenges and move toward greater healing and connection. I work with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, grief, PTSD, relationship challenges, and the lasting impact of trauma, including religious and spiritual trauma. My approach is relational, collaborative, and integrative because I believe each person is uniquely wired and therapy is not one-size-fits-all. Together, we’ll find the approaches that work best for you, drawing from Trauma-Focused CBT, IFS, DBT, Polyvagal Theory, somatic approaches, and sometimes a little creativity along the way. I value being human and authentic in the counseling room and creating a space where you can feel comfortable doing the same. For clients who are seeking it, I also offer faith-based integration into the counseling process.

I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas and my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Grand Canyon University. My clinical experience includes crisis residential, community mental health, and private practice settings, working with individuals from diverse backgrounds and life experiences. I believe deeply in this work and in our capacity for healing, growth, and change. I have experienced the transformative power of healing in my own life and have had the privilege of witnessing it in the lives of others. Outside of counseling, I’m a wife and proud mom of two precious humans and am actively involved in nonprofit and community leadership. I look forward to the possibility of walking alongside you, supporting your growth, and having the privilege of witnessing your healing journey.
