Vivian Enriquez

Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, 120204
My name is Vivian and I am a bilingual licensed marriage and family therapist. I’ve been practicing psychotherapy in the Coachella Valley for 6 years and continue to grow and learn in my profession. My journey did not begin in mental health. I began working in the educational field where I developed my passion for working with children. I became a therapist because I believe in the power of actively listening, empathy, and being present with someone offering a safe space in the midst of emotional pain. I am grateful to be able to meet so many different people and learn their stories as we work together towards self-discovery and healing.
I attended Brandman University where I received my masters in Psychology. I have worked in academic settings with children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder providing Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services. Since then, my experience has expanded to providing psychotherapeutic services in non-profit organizations as well as private practices. I have extensive training in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), an evidence-based treatment shown to be highly effective in improving youth posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) symptoms and diagnosis. My experience also includes working with child sexual abuse/human trafficking victims and families, and adult survivors of child sexual abuse. In addition, I have also facilitated parenting education groups, process groups, addressing depression, anxiety, cognitive, substance abuse-related disorders, and behavioral problems.
My personal interests include practicing mindfulness, exercising, reading, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
